Snow and Cajun Cuisine

Nate, Tonya, Kaylynn, Lane, Winston, and Lynn all came to see us over X-mas time. Here's Winston and Lynn with all the kid's. Nate, Tonya, and Family.
The kids.
Kaylynn and Lane got to experience snow, and lots of it.
Another highlight of the visit was all the cajun food that they brought with them and cooked for us. Below is some crawfish that they fried and some went in the gumbo.
They brought up a bunch of shrimp also. Nate is bollin' the shrimp here.
Lynn made us a batch of gumbo here... delicious!

So Shaun -- you got your shrimp after all. It pays to have the right relatives doesn't it.

It's been fun seeing your pictures, Helen & Shaun! Such a small world. Evidently, you're related to the LaPraries (sp?)..I've met Nate and Tonya and our girls (Karra & Tama)knew them in TX when they lived there. The gumbo & shrimp look delicious!! Looking forward to seeing you when we come to the Pipgras family reunion at Wisconsin Dells next year..hope we can hook up with the Scholze side of the family then ( a year and a half fr now )..
